FARGO, N.D., Oct. 29, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — FarmQA, a digital agronomy software company, today announced three leadership appointments: Tara Kessler as Director of Marketing, Chris Ahlers as Director of Engineering, and Jill Carter as Director of Product & Customer Experience. Together, they will lead product development, customer experience, and go-to-market efforts for QA Advisor and QA Farmer while advancing FarmQA’s strategy to help agricultural professionals and growers put agronomic data to work with artificial intelligence.
Kessler serves as Director of Marketing, bringing more than 20 years of marketing experience, most recently as Vice President of Content Marketing at AgCountry Farm Credit Services, Farm Credit Services of America, and Frontier Farm Credit. She leads FarmQA’s marketing strategy as the company grows its market presence and introduces its next generation of products.
Ahlers serves as Director of Engineering after spending more than 25 years at Microsoft, most recently as Principal Group Engineering Manager. He leads FarmQA’s engineering team, drawing on his experience building enterprise software at scale as the company expands its platform, integrations, and AI-enabled capabilities.
Carter serves as Director of Product & Customer Experience, bringing more than 25 years at Microsoft, most recently as Principal Product Manager. She leads FarmQA’s product strategy, roadmap, and customer experience, including support. Her work centers on turning the day-to-day needs of agronomists, advisors, and growers into what the company builds next.
“I truly cannot say enough about the team we have assembled at FarmQA,” said Kris Poulson, CEO of FarmQA. “Kessler, Ahlers, and Carter are three crucial additions for us, and each brings experience and expertise that would be difficult to replicate. More importantly, their strengths complement each other extremely well. Carter is helping define what we build and how it serves our customers, Ahlers and his team are building the technology to deliver it, and Kessler is helping us communicate that value and take it to market. Having that combination in place is increasingly important for where we are going next.”
FarmQA’s platform supports agronomists, crop consultants, ag retailers, enterprises, and growers across more than 50 million acres annually. Through years of scouting observations, field records, recommendations, prescriptions, and other agronomic workflows, FarmQA customers have built valuable, trusted agronomic datasets within the platform.
FarmQA believes those datasets, combined with human agronomic expertise and rapid advancements in artificial intelligence, create an opportunity to fundamentally change how agronomic information is used. The company’s evolving product portfolio, including QA Advisor and QA Farmer, is being developed to help make that information increasingly accessible and actionable while keeping agronomists and trusted advisors at the center of agricultural decision-making.
“Our ambition is much larger than simply building another farm software platform,” Poulson said. “We believe FarmQA can become the place agriculture turns to for trusted agronomic insight. Our customers have spent years creating enormously valuable agronomic datasets through the work they do every day. When you combine that information with the expertise of trusted advisors and what is now becoming possible with AI, the opportunity is significant. With the management team and broader FarmQA team we have in place, I have never been more excited about our ability to execute on that vision and put FarmQA on the global map.”
