TerraGo today announced a significant expansion of its leadership team and organization to accelerate its next phase of growth across strategic utility and city markets. The company has appointed Chip Hathaway as Vice President & Chief Product & Technology Officer (CPTO), Mike Gundling as Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), and established a new Enterprise Solutions organization.
These investments build on TerraGo’s momentum as a leading provider of fully customizable, no-code, AI-powered asset and work management software. TerraGo serves nine of the 10 largest U.S. utilities and leading global cities, including Chicago, London, Sydney and Glasgow.
“TerraGo is entering an exciting new chapter,” said Dave Basil, President and CEO of TerraGo. “Our growth reflects the trust customers place in us to help their teams operate more efficiently, make better decisions and deliver better outcomes for the communities they serve. By expanding our leadership team and creating the Enterprise Solutions organization, we are strengthening our ability to innovate, deepen strategic customer relationships and bring even more value to the markets we serve.”
Hathaway has been appointed VP & CPTO, and will lead TerraGo’s AI, product and technology strategy. His appointment builds on a long-standing record of product leadership, including guiding the TerraGo team’s continuous innovation and the recent launch of the sixth generation of the company’s no-code operational intelligence platform. The platform reflects Hathaway’s vision for a fully customizable solution that combines enterprise-grade security, scalability and high availability with the flexibility to configure workflows, data and user experiences around each organization’s unique operations. TerraGo’s AI-powered capabilities enable organizations to digitize field operations, connect operational data and turn insight into action at a scale never before possible with traditional asset and work management software.
Gundling has been appointed VP & CMO, and will lead TerraGo’s global marketing strategy, brand development, demand generation and solution-proposal efforts. His appointment builds on a long-term commitment of expanding TerraGo’s market presence through high-impact digital campaigns and market-facing content, strategic social media engagement, high-value industry exhibitions and thought-leadership initiatives. Gundling has also played a central role in elevating TerraGo’s industry recognition, including IDC’s designation of the company as a Global Market Leader in Smart City Applications Platforms and more than 10 Smart City awards earned alongside TerraGo customers for transformational results in the communities they serve.
TerraGo has also established the Enterprise Solutions Group, a strategic organization that extends the company’s customer partnership model and commitment to continuous delivery and innovation. The group works side-by-side with customer teams to address high-priority operational challenges, combining expertise in smart infrastructure, utility and city operations, enterprise SaaS and digital transformation. By bringing together advanced technology and deep operational experience, Enterprise Solutions helps customers achieve measurable, lasting improvements in operational performance.
Jeff Ross, Ed Rossi and Jenn Schaffer have joined TerraGo as Vice Presidents of Enterprise Solutions, reporting directly to Basil. The new organization will pursue strategic customer opportunities, expand key accounts, develop new solutions and support the commercialization of new products and services.
Ross brings experience in utility technology, smart infrastructure and go-to-market leadership, including executive roles with Itron, Qualcomm and Intel. Rossi brings enterprise software, SaaS and commercial-growth experience from IBM, Flexera, Qualys and Decisiv Software. Schaffer brings deep, utility-sector innovation and operational experience from NextEra Energy and Florida Power & Light.
“Jeff, Ed and Jenn bring a rare combination of technology, software, and operations leadership expertise,” Basil said. “At TerraGo, we do not simply install software and walk away. We embed with our customers, work alongside their teams and continuously deliver innovation that improves how they operate every day. Together with our Sales, Operations and Product teams, Jeff, Ed and Jenn will help customers turn complex operational challenges into long-term, measurable value—and help TerraGo scale even further with our customers’ success.”
